Our clear vision means that we are working together to meet the needs of every child. We acknowledge and value parents/carers as primary educators and we will work alongside families for the benefit of children. By providing a high quality, integrated play and learning environment, our vision helps to strengthen and support the development of children and their families within the local area of Torquay, and works especially close with the community of Ellacombe.

To provide quality, affordable and integrated childcare, education and family support while working in partnership with the families of children in our care to ensure that we meet their child's needs.Communication, cooperation and education are our core values. We support these values by engendering an atmosphere of honesty, creativity, integrity and trust to ensure that learning can be fun.
Services
Illness & Medical
Report
As with all environments with groups of individuals there is a risk of your child picking up coughs, colds and other minor illnesses from their peers. In order to maintain a healthy environment we ask that if your child is unwell they should be kept at home. Minor coughs and colds will not exclude attendance at nursery, as long as the child is well enough to cope with the nursery day.
Fees & Funding
Report
Calculations are based on 5 days per week, 38 weeks term time and 12 weeks school holidays, a total of 50 weeks. Totals are then divided by 52 to give a regular weekly payment figure. Please note that our fees are calculated based on a whole year attendance. Should your child leave the setting in-year, the fees will be recalculated for the weeks on roll and you may be asked to pay an additional amount.
Working Together
Report
To ensure effective communication between home and nursery, we are always available to discuss your child's needs and any queries that you have. We take the children on a wide range of trips and appropriate clothing/footwear is essential to ensure children are able to play and explore. Please dress your child in clothes that you do not mind getting dirty or messy due to the wide range of activities we offer it is best to wear old clothes.
Ofsted Report 2014
Report
As with all registered childcare centres we have to undergo regular inspections by Ofsted. We are proud of our achievements and have copied the report here for you to read. Staff form strong relationships with parents and therefore, they contribute and engage well in children's learning. This partnership securely promotes children's individual needs.
Curriculum
Report
We follow Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework which is defined by the early learning goals. In both small and large groups children are encouraged to extend their vocabulary and fluency by talking & listening and by hearing & responding to stories, songs and rhymes.

Children are helped to understand that written symbols carry meaning, to be aware of the purpose of writing and, when they are ready, to use drawn and written symbols for themselves.A well-stocked book corner gives every child the opportunity and encouragement to become familiar with books including handling them and making them aware of their uses, both for reference and as a source of stories and pictures.
