Bonut Engineering Ltd was established in 1966 and is a leading UK manufacturer and supplier to the fastener and general engineering industry. We specialise in the UK manufacture of engineer's studs, shaft collars, pins and precision turned parts and valves in stainless steel, high grade alloy and non-ferrous metals.
Our modern machine shop specialises in the production of batch components produced by C.N.C. turning, giving us the facility to produce engineer studs quickly and to the highest standard. We provide engineer studs to both Metric and Imperial dimensions, and in addition to our British Standard mild steel studs, we can cater for other requirements such as high tensile, brass, and stainless steel studs.
We stock a wide range of engineer's shaft collars in Metric and Imperial sizes and in most cases we can offer same-day despatch service. As well as standard solid collars, we can also manufacture single split and double split collars to order. Our collars are typically available in materials BS 230M07 (EN1A) and in stainless steel, but we can also produce collars in aluminium and other materials.
Bonut are specialists in engineer's keys and can supply a multitude of types, both standard and to customer specification. Our range encompasses standard keysteel, gib head keys, and feather keys round ended or square. All our keys are supplied to BS4235(Metric) and to BS46 (Imperial). These products can be provided in BS 080M40 (EN8) as well as in stainless steel.
Bonut Gibhead keys or tapered keys are made to BS46 Part 1: 1958 for imperial sizes and BS 4235 Part 1: 1972 for metric sizes, unless otherwise agreed with the customer, and are tapered on the top face that engages the hub. They are made from steel to BS907 Part 1 unless otherwise agreed. They are designed to be used on a shaft and hub assembly up to about 150mm diameter with pre machined keyways.
