The couple got their first dog (Daisy the Chihuahua) in 2004 and went on to keep two of her pups, Florence & Oreo. Tired of the daily commute to London and increasingly loving his walks with his dogs, Ben decided it was time for a change.
With both him and Laura coming from managerial backgrounds, they could see there was a gap in the market for a brilliantly operated pet company that not only provided a wider range of services, but one that genuinely cared for other peoples' animals as if they were their own.

We offer a full range of services to keep your best friend in the life of luxury. You can book directly via our tailored booking service, or contact us for more details and a chat about how we can help. We can provide dog walking when you are unable to, we'll pick up your pooch in our fully fitted, air con vans/ cars and take them to a nearby hiking trail or dog park, tire them out and drop them back sleepy and happy.

Can't rate The Happy Dog Company highly enough. They truly do leave my dog a happy one! They are very reliable and flexible - everything that I need - especially during the pandemic! They always make sure that Roxy gets all the walks she needs and are very good value for the service they provide.
I was concerned about starting with a dog walker - after never using one before - but Ben went above and beyond to make sure all was comfortable. If you live in the area - you'd be making a mistake to use anyone else!

We use Happy Dog Company for boarding, daycare and walks for our young golden retriever and couldn't be happier with the service - they are flexible, responsive, reasonably priced and our dog clearly has a brilliant time when he's out for his walks. Highly recommended!

Do not order anything from them I ordered two T-shirts and a dog bed back in the beginning of June the middle of July I got one t-shirt I had ordered an extra extra large it looked like a medium then on July 19th I got the other shirt I still don't have the dog bed I looked on their website and it said permanently shut down. I strongly suggest that if you want to order from them I'd go someplace else I will never order from them again they take and they don't answer your emails this place is a scam

We had a pretty good thing going for a while with this dog walking company. All of a sudden, they tell us that our usual dog walker, who has been walking our chocolate labrador for nearly a year, can't take him anymore because he is 'too playful'. We now have to pay 50% extra for individual walks for him. They refused to wash or even dry him on muddy and rainy days so I've had to clean my floors and walls many times. Finally, when we'd had enough and requested our key back to give to our new walker, they held our key hostage until we paid off our final bill. As though they have had trouble getting

I have been using the company on and off for about 4 years having moved out of Brighton for a time and I cannot praise Ben and the team of dog walkers enough. Not only do they all care for Pippa so much, often accepting her on walks at short notice, thanks to my changing shifts, she's been managing to escape from my new garden and as I'm often at work it's other people who help - including Ben answering random calls as people often call the number on the dog walking tag rather than my number and to say he goes above and beyond his duties is an understatement. Brilliant company owned by lovely people who go above and beyond to accommodate the needs of the owners and their dogs. I love being part of the team and have bonded with lots of the dogs I’ve had the privilege of walking, and I wouldn’t hesitate to leave my own dog in Bens care if I needed to. Maybe I’m biased, but this company is definitely 5 star worthy!

I have been using the Happy Dog Company for 3 years and have always been very happy with the service. The team are friendly, reliable and punctual, with a flexible range of walking options, and Pam always comes home stimulated and exhausted (especially after a Friday hike on the Downs!). HDC keep you up to date with regular facebook updates and photos, so you see how much fun your dog’s having whilst you’re stuck at work! Pam was quite nervy around other dogs, but spending walking time with dogs suited to her disposition has really helped her to socialise and have more confidence and fun, which

Ben took excellent care of my (very) energetic Jack Russell, Leija. The times Ben came and picked her up and I was still at home Leija jumped all over him and couldn't wait to get into the van with the others. She loved Ben, and that's a good enough sign for me that he did a really good job. I always felt Leija was in safe hands with someone who clearly loves, and knows how to look after dogs. After moving out of town it was obvious Leija missed her regular walks, and she still responds with excitment and anticipation to the name Ben. I can highly recommend The Happy Dog company! It is the best
