We're aware of a text message claiming to be from the AA stating "we were unable to confirm your account details" and providing a false URL to confirm details. This is not from the AA. I have been with the AA since 2006 with full coverage. Saturday 17/07/21 was the first time i really needed them. We broke down at 12pm 150 miles from home, the car completely lost power on the A379, we were only able to open the front doors and the horn was locked on, we were able to maneuver from the center of the road across a bike lane. I called the AA who quickly put us at ease, I said we are in a position of high risk on a busy road, we have a 8 month old baby, a 3 year old and me and my wife. My mind was put at ease "due to your situation you are of upmost importance and we will be with

Avoid at all bunch of inept charlatans! Left us, a family with 5 month old twins and a 9 year old in a services car park after towing us there off the m6, for 7 hours! It would have been 9 hours if they'd had their way. Kept calling them n telling them we needed baby food for the twins and to hurry up. The AA kept telling us it'll be another 2 hours....then another 2 hours! Every time u call then u r on hold for at least half an hour. One woman at the AA even told us to get the twins a McDonald's or Costa! Had to eventually organise our own tow truck n someone to collect the family.

My current provider turned out to be useless on a previous small issue so signed up with AA due to an offer I had from a recent car purchase.
Signup was long winded, it should have taken a few minutes but I had to repeat everything multiple times online, then on the phone.
My CT wouldn't start, Lexus wasn't helpful so used the ap to report a problem. The ap is great, Paul was with me within 30 minutes, he was polite, clear, helpful, fixed the issue and then stuck around for a bit to ensure everything was sorted.
I wanted to pass on the positive feedback about my experience but the system to

I had car insurance with the AA then switched it at renewal time to go with someone cheaper. A month ago, out of the blue, I received a letter from the AA explaining to me that they had accidentally registered on my credit file that I had defaulted on all of my payments for the last 11 months and only discovered the mistake they had made because of a recent audit. Apparently they're very sorry for any problems they may have caused me. I'm also very sorry because I'm currently finding it very difficult to get a mortgage..

They are absolutely hopeless with dealing with insurance claims and complaints. Their agent was rude and they should not be allowed to deal with insurance, could do with shutting down completely in my views, Disgusting and overpriced shoddy service. You have been warned. DONT USE AA for car insurance.
