Richard is an absoloutely amazing instructor, he is always calm and collected. Very good at making you feel confident while driving and lessons were always enjoyable. The use of the progress traking app and everything helped so much in getting me to reflect on each lesson to see where i was at and what i need to impove on. Overall he helped me pass first time, months before my orginal target. Extremely pleased.

After failing my test twice with a different instructor I tried lessons with Richard which helped me immensely. rather than just telling me what i should be doing he elaborated into why I was doing it which then caused me to remember better as i didn't feel like i was just doing it because i had to; rather because I wanted to check and understand the situation before emerging. I then managed to find a cancellation for mid to late September and passed. To summarize, Richard is a great instructor and I would strongly recommend him, especially if you are in the position I was in after failing twice

Richard has done a great job in not only helping me pass my driving test but also preparing me for independent driving. He has a very relaxed style of teaching which works well for driving as it allows you to stay calm and focused whilst also allowing you to learn all that is required to be a safe driver. If you're learning to drive I would recommend Excel Driver Training as you get an experienced instructor and get to drive a car with all the bells and whistles.

Highly recommend Richard! I passed first time with zero faults after only 13 lessons with Richard which speaks for itself. Richard let's you learn at your own pace and is calm and encouraging but thorough. He doesn't just teach you how to drive but gives you the confidence to pass!

I can't recommend Richard enough, he made my son's lessons relaxed and enjoyable. He was recommend by a friend and I'm so glad we listened, especially in the minefield of choosing a driving instructor.
From my son's first lesson until he passed only took 2 months!. I'm sure he could have dragged it out longer for more money, like some unscrupulous instructors I've heard about. A genuinely nice bloke, i will definitely be using him again, thanks for everything.

I had the most amazing time with Richard. Definitely the best driving instructor out there! He makes you feel safe and comfortable in the car and on the road and puts his 100% effort in getting to your goal. I had 16 hours in the space of two months and he got me to pass on the first attempt. The hard work and care he shows doesn’t go unnoticed and is much appreciated. I couldn’t have asked for someone better to teach me how to drive :)
