Services
Our business started in 1996, when 3 engineers left the Gent fire alarm company to start their own business; Advanced Fire & Security Services Ltd was born. Initially we specialised in Gent systems and have seen the evolution of the Gent detection system though several stages.
Single panels to networked solutions, ionisation detectors to multi-sensors, we rode the wave and used our knowledge today to service systems that are as old as our business. With the evolution of technology and the introduction of open protocol solutions, we expanded our business to include these systems - along with complementary solutions - to enhance our customers safety.

If you own a business then you are bound by law to perform a fire risk assessment. This is a good thing as you are investing in the future of your business. A risk assessment to meet the requirements of the RRO (Regulatory Reform Order) is not a complex or onerous undertaking. It's a visual inspection of the fire hazards, the people and the evacuation options within your business.
These systems are all about detecting the presence of a fire and alerting the people in the building to the fire. From ultra fast detection to multi-sensors our designers will pick the best detection for each area in the building delivering the most reliable system. We have been using Gent fire alarm systems for over 20 years and we are familiar with all of them.
The regulatory reform order is a law governing the responsibilities of a business to take due care of it's employees with respect to fire risk. It covers many areas, defining who is responsible to take action and who is accountable within a business. You, the business owner or responsible person, can be prosecuted if you do not comply with the Law.
We have designed, installed and are maintaining systems throughout the education system; from nurseries to universities. Over the past few years the accommodation sector has evolved; new standards and enhanced performance requirements have been introduced. A heavy focus on false alarm reduction, evacuation strategy and the integration of detection and voice alarm have greatly improved the safety in these sectors.
