The following photos show IK Welding undertaking an emergency breakdown on a high pressure steam line which fractured through steam erosion. On this particular job we fitted a new by-pass leg with a new valve complete with new flanges, stubs, non-returns and "tee" branch.
All this work was undertaken for McCain Foods GB Ltd for which we have a regular contract repairing and refurbishing steam pressure vessels and various steam lines up to 12 diameter.Also in this first part you can see a photograph of a new pipework installation on a sugar flume line in the chip factory.

IK Welding specialise in types of stainless steel pipe fabrication and stainless pipework to a large number of Companies in the food and manufacturing Industry. We can work with materials from 304L to 316L in annealed and polished finish stainless pipework, including gas purged pipework. The series of photographs show various stainless pipework installations for the Food Industry.
The first two photographs show a Grade II Listed Building which required a total refurbishment to the Victoria Iron Castings. Each one of the castings had to be moved, shot blasted and repaired and refitted to the original specifications, along with a new concrete plinth to the original position by ourselves through specialised cast iron welding.
We have over the years completed at least 80 fire escapes refurbishments, repairs and new builds. This has been done for various property letting companies, hotels and through the directive of the Fire Brigade and Scarborough Borough Council. Here are just a few of the Fire Escapes we have re-furbished and installed over the years.
