The salon opened in 1992, having been a training school for a number of years. The directors, Gillian and Joanne, quickly saw it's potential and decided on a complete refurbishment. The present look, monochrome with black and silver features with a splash of ruby red, reflects the salon's 'cutting edge' status, as one of the premier salons in the Rotherham area.

Although many new clients have joined us over the years, client loyalty has been the key to our success. Our business has been built on a strong reputation for high standards, both in creative styling and client care.

My appt was on time.. Staff were vigilante about checking my temperature. Made sure I took precautions with antibacterial on my hands. Face masked etc xx staff kept there distance but made people feel valued and asked how they felt xx

Had a cut and blow at Lox Hair and Beauty today. Was very impressed with the care taken by the team. Temperature taken, hand sanitiser available, disposable towels, everyone wearing masks and stylists chairs partitioned. The environment felt very safe, well done to Gillian, Jo and team.

I visited Lox for a cut and colour on the 8th less than a week after they were allowed to reopen. The whole process from start to finish was fabulous. They efforts they have gone to to safe guard their clients and staff is second to none. Whilst it was different from the usual experience, it was safe and relaxed. Had my first cut and colour since lock down began, with Gillian. She, Joanne and all the staff have created a safe, organised, and clean environment, all staff wear complete PPE, chairs are appropriately spaced and protected by large perspex screens which fit with the decor of the salon and are not intrusive. The staff have a logical, excellent system in place that is well explained and easy and comfortable to follow. I felt safe, relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed the usual warm, friendly reception and treatments. Thanks Gill.

I have been coming to this hair dressers for the past 2-3 years and I wouldn’t think of going any where Else. The staff are amazing and treat everyone as their own no matter on what race , religion or age a person is. The hair treatments are amazing and lox is the only place in Rotherham to offer such treatment . Well done ladies keep up the good work u do , it does get recognised.
