Services
Tuition is available in one, one and a half and two hour lessons. We recommend a two hour lesson as in our experience a longer lesson allows more time for your instructor to explain new parts of the syllabus and for you to put it into practice. Pupils also benefit from travelling further afield as they experience unfamiliar routes which help to boost confidence and improve driving skills.
Do you want to learn to drive in an automatic car rather than a manual? Are you having trouble learning to change gear or pull away from junctions? Rookie Driver has the answer: Automatic lessons. An automatic car has no clutch and the car changes gear for you leaving you to concentrate on steering and only two pedals, the accelerator and the foot brake.
This course is specifically designed for pupils who have a test booked but have not had any professional lessons for some time. Your instructor will ensure you are at test standard in all aspects of the Driving Standards Agency syllabus. The duration of this course is ten hours in-car training and a further three hours on test day.
This two hour course is designed for those who have always driven a manual car but now wish to drive an automatic. Your instructor will explain in detail the difference in controls and you will then have the opportunity to practice under professional supervision. By the end of the Manual to Automatic driving course you will have total confidence in your ability to drive an automatic car.
Pass Plus is an optional course designed for new drivers covering six modules of at least one hour duration. Topics covered include driving around a town, all weather driving, driving in the countryside, driving at night, driving on dual carriageways and driving on motorways.
Once you have reached the required standard in all modules you will receive a certificate from the Driving Standards Agency which can be used with many leading insurance companies to receive a discount on your premium.Rookie Driver can help you gain confidence and important skills for life with your driving.
