I started working for myself over five years ago after illness forced a change of careers. At the time I wasn't sure what I should do, but I wanted to get out and feel useful. Friends and family convinced me that I should further my already extensive knowledge and experience of the building trades and go into the property maintenance.
This was based on their experiences of work I'd previously done for them and the lack of suitable tradesmen who were willing to do little jobs, as well as the larger more lucrative projects. Five years on, I'm pleased to say my friends were correct. I have a very good customer base that regularly come back and ask me to do additional work.

Services
Mr. H Property Maintenance covers the whole of the Forest of Dean area, as well as some more outlying places too. So whether you live in the larger towns of Lydney, Cinderford, Coleford or Mitcheldean, or smaller villages like Awre, Etloe, Newland, Redbrook, Staunton or Yorkley, it matters not to Mr. H.
I started working in the construction trade working as a Floor & Wall tilers labourer whilst I was still in college training as an engineer in the early 1990's. I soon became proficient at the trade myself and was taken on by the owners of the company to complete tiling jobs on my own during my college holidays.
These days I very rarely have enough spare time to do regular garden maintenance in the form of grass cutting, hedge trimming or weeding, which is a shame as I do enjoy these jobs from time to time. So most of my garden work nowadays consist of laying patios, erecting fences and helping out a friend in doing large landscaping projects when he requires extra labour for some of his larger landscaping projects.
Based in Blakeney Gloucestershire, my client base tends to be within the Forest of Dean area, but for larger projects taking more than a day I have been known to work further afield - obviously traveling further afield increases my costs and so these are considerations I put forward to clients at the time of estimating for the work.

I cannot speak highly enough of MR H. Personable chap who listened to what I needed and came up with a practical solution to my plumbing requirements for my canine grooming salon. He fitted a powerful water pump for delivery of water at the right pressure and reliable temperature which is essential to a well washed happy dog. Excellent service.

Asked for 80m of close board fencing to be completed and couldn’t be happier. A first class job by a true professional with and eye for detail. Nothing was too much trouble and looked so good the neighbours booked him for some work as well!!
