The Medway School of Pharmacy is a unique collaboration between the University of Greenwich and the University of Kent. Since opening in 2004 we have become recognised as an established school of pharmacy, by the regulator The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

Our mission is to produce, through innovative teaching and research delivered in a supportive and caring environment, high-quality professional graduates committed to lifelong learning.To anticipate future needs of the Profession, Industry and the National Health Service and to provide high quality versatile resourceful practitioners to meet those needs.
Services
Studying at the Medway School of Pharmacy gives you the knowledge and skills you need for a professional career in pharmacy. Our four-year MPharm programme can help you apply for pre-registration training which leads to registration as a pharmacist. We also have a portfolio of short courses which support the continuing education of qualified pharmacists, health care professionals and science graduates.
The Medway School of Pharmacy's postgraduate taught programmes are specifically designed for a range of healthcare professionals in active clinical practice. You can train as a non-medical prescriber, develop your career as a newly qualified clinical pharmacist, gain a qualification in Medicines Optimisation or take a series of short courses for CPD and career development.
Wide variety of short courses for pharmacists, nurses, midwives and all allied health professionals. Medway School of Pharmacy offers a range of distance learning modules for pharmacists, nurses and other healthcare professionals. Enhance the medicines optimisation services you offer to patients. Take modules to meet the learning needs of your continuing professional development (CPD).
Our internationally acclaimed research covers a broad range of themes, genres and disciplines, including pharmaceutics, medicinal chemistry, materials science, neuroscience, infectious diseases and supporting improvements in health. The school has around thirty academic research staff arranged in three research groups - Chemistry & Drug Delivery, Biological Sciences, Clinical & Professional Practice.
The School is located at the heart of the multi-university campus development at Chatham Maritime in Medway, Kent. Investment in extensive new laboratories and research facilities has seen the campus develop into a major higher education centre.

Our state-of-the-art facilities include an over the counter room, dispensing lab, pharmaceutical technology laboratory, Viral Pseudotype Unit, clean room, simulation laboratory, four learning classrooms and a number of specialist teaching laboratories.Our teaching rooms and laboratories house industry-standard equipment such as a dissolution tester, microscopes, mock feed bags, and a computerised simulated patient (SimMan).

I have been given a warm welcome as a new member of staff, and believe the lecturers really keep up with their students, which is not always the case at other institutions.
