Thursday evening caught small sewin and 15lb salmon on the run into the main pool on Rapala, both fish returned. Many thanks to Pat and Brian for a great week. Highlight of the week was Bob catching 3 salmon in an hour top of the Dolhaidd Pool. I landed the largest of 14lb by hand and returned it. As usual a very pleasant break and excellent hospitality.
Our cottages are ideally situated as a base from which to discover the coast and countryside of West Wales. There are three Circular Walks within three miles of Dol-Haidd Isaf, many more are published in Teifi and Carmarthenshire Circular Walks book available in all of our cottages.
The beaches and coves are unspoilt and the many miles of coastline challenge all visiting walkers to view the spectacular scenery and marine life along the Pembrokshire Coastal Path.Grey seals can often be seen from the cove at Mwnt, which is a National Trust beach. There are many local beaches where you can probably witness the leaping resident Bottlenose dolphin that regularly perform in the Cardigan Bay for onlookers.
