The Old School Nursery is set in an old Victorian building which has been running since 2002. Here at The Old School Nursery we offer a safe and happy family environment where children can extend their learning. The children are in small well-supervised groups, which enable them to have much individual attention.
We have two main rooms, 2-3 year olds Caterpillar Room and the 3-4 year olds Butterfly Room both offer many activities each day. The garden is a secure area with a variety of age appropriate apparatus which are put out each day. Also in the garden there is a planting area to encourage knowledge of the outside environment with the children, as well as sand and water play areas.

At the Old School Nursery, we strongly believe in seeing children as individuals. Our ethos is to work closely with and build meaningful relationships with families. By respecting that all children are different and they come to our nursery with unique experiences of family, friends and their world, we are able to build upon this to support each child to make friends and build relationships at nursery.
Before starting their educational journey with us, you and your child will be invited for a visit, when we shall have the opportunity to discuss any concerns you may have about your child and together we can address these issues. One of our dedicated team will be your child's allocated 'key person' and will work closely with them, observing and monitoring their progress during their time with us.

In our Babies House we have our own enclosed garden for our 6 months to 2 year olds and have access to the main nursery's large outdoor space also. We have resources specifically designed for babies and toddlers and encourage free flow play and self-select resources. We put on a range of activities from sensory and water play to music and movement and heuristic play.

Absolutely amazing nursery! My son has loved his time here, at the end of each day he can’t wait tell me what he has been up to! Very welcoming and loving staff and place. My son has learnt so much from the nursery. They always want to include the parents in their child play, I loved going to the come and play mornings. Highly recommended.
