Armstrong Fire Management
Fire Risk Assessments and Fire Safety Training delivered by a competent and qualified Assessor. If someone is injured in a fire in your premises, just ask yourself, "Where would that leave me?" In these litigious days, it is not worth leaving yourself exposed to blame or liability. The first step to reducing fire hazards to a reasonable level - and complying with current legal requirements - is a Fire Risk Assessment.

To achieve compliance with the Regulatory Reform, (Fire Safety Order) 2005, your Fire Risk Assessment will include a Fire Safety Audit and an Action Plan. Where necessary an Emergency Plan will be provided. For residential blocks an appropriate letter to tenants regarding fire safety and a suitably worded Fire Action Notice will be provided if required.
Services
A good fire evacuation drill gives all occupants of the building the chance to rehearse the fire procedures. Management also have the opportunity to put right any failings in the procedures. We offer supervision of drills where this is required. In the end a culture is established where all occupants of the building realise they are expected to respond appropriately to a warning of fire.
Managing your fire safety does not end with a single fire risk assessment, and the installation of some fire safety equipment. The process of managing your fire safety should be a daily part of your business's safety culture. Risk assessments should be reviewed regularly to ensure that precautions are still working effectively, particularly if there are any changes in the workplace or you have a 'near miss' fire situation.
Yes - Every non-domestic premises is required to have in place a Fire Risk Assessment. If more than four persons are at work, or if the premises is licensed or registered for the use to which it is to be put, then the Fire Risk Assessment must be written down. There is a duty of care on the employer, the occupier or owner as the responsible person to appoint a competent person to carry out a Fire Risk Assessment of the premises.
