The Rutland Marquee Company is owned and run by us, husband and wife, Tom and Hannah Dodson. We were both raised in Rutland, and we now live in North Luffenham with our two little girls. We are both passionate about helping people to organise events and want each of our many customers to be completely satisfied with the service that we provide.
We are experts in helping you decide on those special details that will make your event truly memorable. Here at the Rutland Marquee Company, we offer a number of different services. From modular marquees to fit almost any space and party size, to venue decorations and stunning alternatives that guarantees the wow factor for virtually any space you wish to use.
We are specialists in luxury marquee hire for weddings, parties, events and entertaining throughout Rutland, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Cambridge and beyond. No matter what your event, we can create a stunning venue to suit. These luxury marquees can all be completely customised to create exactly the venue size and shape you want for your event.
Round tables are available in 3', 5' or 6' diametre sizes. Our 3' round tables can seat up to five guests but are mostly used as cake tables, or with their optional taller bases. We recommend seating eight guests on the 5' round tables and ten guests on the 6' round tables, for comfort. Trestle tables are also available for use as top tables, buffet tables, guests dining tables, as well as in catering areas.
The interior of your marquee can be lit by either our cream chandeliers with pretty floral or cream shades, or by our black wrought iron chandeliers, along with the matching smaller versions for the smaller marquees. Your choice for either dramatically elegant or softly sophisticated.
In addition to the chandeliers, we also have every size of round paper lanterns in a wide range of colours, which can create a simpler, lighter look to your marquee, whilst also decorate the ceiling space of your marquee with your chosen colour scheme.Both the chandeliers and paper lanterns are all operated on individual dimmer switches, allowing you to set the mood of your event as you choose.

From the moment we first made contact with The Rutland Marquee Company we knew that they were the best around. Most people think (like me) that planning a party is stressful and will never go to plan, how wrong I was! Firstly, our contact was initially with Hannah who made decision making so easy, she advised and used her extensive knowledge to help us pick the most amazing decor. We then had the pleasure of talking to Tom about the actual Marquee size and structure. Tom was brilliant offering lots of advice and solutions to make the most out of the space we had. Absolutely incredible company - so helpful and accommodating. Our wedding was in Suffolk and they kindly agreed to travel to the venue and transformed the interior and exterior, which really complimented our rustic theme. Hannah and Tom were extremely helpful talking me through the process and what to expect on the day, whilst liaising with our wedding planner to ensure a seamless professional service. We booked these guys for a party recently and WOW - what a fantastic service. From start to finish, we were so impressed with their level of service and attention to detail. The office staff were so understanding and full of knowledge to make sure that our party not only looked fabulous but went down without a hitch. As per the reviews below, we also had candles on our tablecloths (even though their contract states we were not to use them!) and we also were billed for the replacement of tablecloths. As we had damaged them with candle wax however, we completely understood why they needed to be replaced

We used Rutland Marquees for our wedding in September. We initially had excellent service from them, however 3-4 weeks after the wedding we recieved an invoice for 6 out of the 8 table cloths we hired for £180 because we used candles on them. Even though our overall bill was in excess of £1,700 and the table cloths were left folded up for us to put on the tables ourselves the night before. This meant we had extra jobs to do and they were creased upon applying them. Also we hired curtain coverings which were also very creased and we're not attached properly meaning they sagged at the top. They

Expensive for the amount of work undertaken by this company. The hall we used did recommend this company to carry out our decorations, however I would advise sourcing from other alternatives prior to selecting Rutland Marquee. Execution of the work undertaken was good but table cloths were left for us to place and iron on the tables and also some curtain covers weren't actually fixed in place properly. We received a bill 3 -4 WEEKS AFTER our wedding, stating we had to pay £180.00 for damaged table cloths. Communication after the event and aftercare was absolutely poor and I'm still awaiting a
