Audacious Marine
Audacious Marine are a family run business. Our local, skilled craftsmen are dedicated to producing high quality workmanship to mould and manufacture fibreglass boats for fishing, angling, workboats, pleasure craft and survey vessels. Based in Ramsgate, Kent, the Cannon family have been long established in the trade of boat building and in recent years become the UK based manufacturers of the Cougar Catamaran.

Our Cougar Catamarans are available in sizes 7 metre, 8 metre, 10 metre and 11 meter hull length, from moulded hull only, through to fully equipped sail away models. The fibreglass construction utilises modern manufacturing techniques to build a hard wearing, structurally sound, low maintenance work or pleasure boat which is fully approved by the Seafish Authority.
Services
Our own commercial fishing vessels have been used by our family for many years, the most recent of which being "Moxie" - an 8m Cougar Catamaran which we self manufactured from a bare hull. Having later sold Moxie, and our intention was to buy a new 10m Cougar Catamaran hull and start work building a new fishing boat.
Our Cougar Catamarans are available in a 7 metre trailer version or harbour version, 8 metre, 10 metre and 11 metre with options of inboard or outboard engines. Our business meets the British Marine Federation Code of Practice and complies with UK standards, guaranteeing you top quality manufacturing.
Our range of Seafish Approved Cougar fibreglass Cougar Catamarans are available to order in 7m, 8m, 10m and 11m. All our catamarans are manufactured to order from our construction tier list below and built to customer specification. Any special requirements can be arranged, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
The Cougar Catamaran 8m and 10m is built to meet the regulations enforced and approved to meet full Lloyds Register Special Service Craft Classification, MCA and SFIA. The Cougar uses symmetrical hulls to give high buoyancy and substantial load carrying capabilities for a vessel of its size. From the outset the boat had to be able to house inboard conventional shaft drive diesels, together with the conventional keel fitted to the 8m and 10m.

Everyone aims to have their boat ashore in the winter months to carry out any necessary work so that they are ready to go to sea when the warmer weather arrives.
