Ian Jones originally founded The Financial Practice Ltd in 1995. Following a series of business acquisitions in 2012, TFP Financial Planning Ltd was established in 2015 by Casey Mills and Ian Jones. From our offices in the heart of Maldon, situated on the Blackwater estuary in Essex, we are ideally placed to support clients across East Anglia and London.
I just don't understand why people can't plan their day better to make sure they arrive at a meeting or appointment on time! Casey has worked in financial services since 2001; he established TFP Financial Planning Ltd in 2015 alongside Ian Jones. Casey achieved Chartered Financial Planner status in 2012 and became a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society in 2018.
He has worked in financial services since 2005, specifically in investment management, where he has held senior sales and management positions in the City with some of the largest global asset management companies. Dan's areas of expertise are client relationship management, the investment markets and building investment strategies.
Her role as our Office Manager involves ensuring the smooth running of the office and improving company procedures. She also manages various other aspects of the business, including compliance, HR, marketing and business development. Lucy has achieved the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Award in Financial Administration.
Elaine is currently covering Lucy on maternity leave and handling all aspects of business administration. From her first role in finance as a Mortgage Adviser at Countrywide Assured, to an Independent Financial Adviser for Bradford & Bingley, then finally a self-employed adviser with Cheeseman & Groves and later PFS, Elaine has plenty of experience in helping clients to achieve their goals.

Ive been working with Dan from TFP for a year now. The whole engagement from introduction call through to planning discussions has been fabulous all the way through. I had reached the stage of needing to understand what policies and monies we had and what that meant for our aspirations heading towards "retirement". Dan at TFP has been immensely helpful and removed my financial anxiety as I was approaching retirement. I now feel more confident with my plans and Dan’s encouraged me to remove the (financial) shackles so much so that I turned down a part time opportunity which would have been easy to take but in actual fact, not what I really want to be doing. I would recommend anyone to use TFP to think through their post retirement life.

Having courted a number of Financial Advisers before selecting TFP I had developed a clear picture of the type of firm I wanted to work with. At least two of the businesses formed an opinion of what was right for me and my family based on one telephone call.

I engaged TFP as I was considering my retirement options. I was particularly impressed by the way my contact, Dan, commenced by trying to understand my life goals, my attitudes to risk and generally what made me tick, before trying to put together a plan for the future, which we both owned.
