Little BigHeads started life in 2012 with our little shop in Wilmslow. We wanted to create a space where children can have a really good haircut in a fun and child centric environment, turning what is often viewed as a chore into an enjoyable experience for them. In 2014 we set up our Bramhall shop.
Here at Little BigHeads we know what a big deal your child's first haircut can be. We often get asked when the right time to have their first haircut is. The short answer is - only when and if they need it! It might just be a fringe trim if it's in their eyes, or a tidy up at the back if it's turning into a mullet (all too common!).
For some children, having a haircut can be an upsetting experience. If a child has sensory issues, is on the Autistic Spectrum, or just has a phobia of the hairdresser, then it can be very frightening for them, and very stressful for you. First of all, please be assured it is a remarkably common problem.
Our very popular 60 minute braiding class is perfect for anyone wanting to learn how to braid hair. It is available for all levels, from complete beginners to those wishing to trying something more elaborate. These 1-2-1 classes can be booked any day of the week (subject to trainer availability - not all our team can offer this service).

We have been using little bigheads in Bramhall for 18months, and I can honestly say that I don't want to take my son anywhere else. Sarah Voice is outstanding and my little boy (who can be difficult around his hair) is so much calmer when we can get an appointment with sarah. Carina has also cut his hair with much success after a terrible haircut somewhere else. I'm so glad that one of my old school friends recommended little bigheads after she had visited the altrincham salon. Keep it up, you lot are fab!

Very good place to gets your child’s haircut, the staff are extremely friendly, helpfull and caring. The staff also deal very well with nervous children, My son was very nervous because it was the first time he was visiting a hairdresser, but the staff dealt with it very well, they explained to him the tools they use to cut, the meaning of all of them. They also have a IPad which the children can use while the hairdresser cuts his/her hair, it has Netflix on it, so you can watch children’s tv shows on it. It’s a great place in an easy to get to area. If you do plan to get your child’s hair

Have been to this place a few times but after the last time will not be returning. Previously have always gone for an easy short sides and top for my son but this time it had taken a lot of effort to grow his hair out and he looked great. I only wanted a trim and neatening so that it continues to grow out well with the right shape and she completely hacked his hair off and his sides and top look so choppy and really odd now. The length was significantly reduced. She was ill and coughing etc as well I don't know why they are making an ill staff member work with children in the first place.

Brilliant friendly place the staff are amazing with the children really put them at ease. My 4 year old has curly hair which we were worried she would lose by cutting but the staff were so helpful and talked us through everything. You are not rushed through like other salons, they genuinely care!Would highly recommend
