We have a reputation as a destination for good, honest, mouth-watering breakfasts and lunches. The farm cafe + shop at Marlesford is an oasis on the A12, a few miles from Woodbridge in Suffolk. We've been offering locally produced, quality food since 2001 and our cafe has built a reputation as a destination for good, honest, mouth-watering breakfasts and lunches (not to mention our famous homemade scones!).
Services
Back in 2001 Paul Thomas had an ambition to provide travelling customers with a much better experience. Having travelled thousands of miles himself, both in this country and abroad, Paul was acutely aware of how difficult it was to get good food, especially breakfasts. Surrounded by lots of fabulous food producers in East Suffolk, he went about finding out how to provide good food from the farm to the table by the shortest possible route.
Conveniently situated on the A12 north of Woodbridge, the cafe is an ideal stop for a fabulous breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea on your way to the coast. The cafe has a south facing veranda overlooking the large garden for alfresco dining in the warmer months and, in the winter, customers are greeted with a warming log fire.
We are extremely proud of our hard won reputation as one of the best breakfast and lunch restaurants in South East England. But we wouldn't want you to take our word for it, here's what some of the reviewers say. After a lot of hard graft they've now succeeded in bringing a little cafe culture to Marlesford's hard shoulder.
We're easy to find right beside the main road (A12) just north of Woodbridge - and we've plenty of parking - making us a convenient stop-off if you're heading up to Aldeburgh or elsewhere on the Suffolk coast. For wholesale enquiries, job vacancies or to simply to let us know how you think we're doing, please get in touch via our contact form.

Great place. Salads or full English. Pies or soups. All tasty. I’m a regular with friends and with family. A large main course is about £10-12.
Basic, scrubbed pine tables etc. that’s the vibe.
Few covid precautions, no open windows, no screening….but on the plus side, there’s sanitiser, tables have been spaced out more than in past and the communal condiments have been removed (they are now brought direct to the table).

My friend & I went here one morning & we were greeted with a smile. We were asked to use the hand sanitiser & asked where we would like to sit. Lots of taes outside & it was a nice day so we sat outside. Nice rear grassy garden, good for children.
We had fabulous service, the staff are really friendly.
We had an excellent breakfast & we will definitely be going back.
