We are a small, family-run organization providing a luxurious standard of residential care for our residents in relatively small settings with a distinctly "Non institutional" feel and a great location. Our staff are exceptionally well trained and committed to promoting the culture of excellence that the homes have become known for.
They provide a professional level of "individual person centred care" based on personal life history, in a relaxed way, with the continuous emphasis on the maintenance of privacy and dignity whilst simultaneously promoting the independence and rehabilitation of all our residents. The home has achieved the Investors In People Award and we have accreditation with the Sterling University as a provider of specialist dementia Care.

Services
The Lodges are registered with the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales and are registered to provide care for both the frail elderly and those with dementia. They are home cooking accredited with a number of Local Authorities, and fully comply with all the requirements of all the relevant statutory bodies.
We offer a range of activities within the home. It is the policy of Ty-draw and Wentworth Lodges to facilitate the continuance of the residents' religious practices. If this involves attendance at services outside the home, residents should arrange transport and be accompanied by friends or relatives if necessary.
I have been working as a GP in Cardiff for 30 years, during which time I have been called to see patients in The Lodges at a variety of times of the day and night. Without doubt the Lodges offer the best standards of care of any homes that I have visited. I have always found the staff highly professional and compassionate and the homes very pleasant, homely and welcoming.

Ty Draw Lodge is a very homely and welcoming care home that I would be more than happy to recommend to people looking for residential care in Cardiff.
My mother was a resident at Ty Draw Lodge for nearly 2 and a half years and I feel the service and care she received there was second to none.
The location of the home is in a pleasant suburb of the city (Penylan) with the building overlooking both the Roath Recreation Ground and the Roath Pleasure Gardens.
The most important element of a care home, however, is the care people receive, and in this respect, the staff are very friendly, professional

I have worked for the lodges nearly one year. It is a very good place. The colleagues and the management is very approachable and friendly. Apart from this, the quality of services and the facilities is very appreciative. When I work here I feels like my own family... I really believe that this is one of the best chapters in my life..

I am a retired GP and for many years before and since retirement I have been the medical advisor to the Lodges.
During the current pandemic the owners have kept me regularly appraised of their situation and have described the very considerable precautions they have implemented to keep both residents and staff safe. As of today I know that the homes have remained free of the virus which I consider a very considerable achievement and this can only be testimony to the very high standards that they have always maintained
I also know how creatively and exceptionally hard the management and staff have

I worked for Ty Draw Lodge for many years before moving to our sister home, during that time I have always found the management very helpful and approachable and they will encourage staff to progress through the company if they wish. The level of care given to each resident is of the highest standard and everyone is treated like extended family I wouldn’t want to work for another company

Professional, kind and caring environment to work in and everyone works together to ensure the best care, support and surroundings for the residents. Everyone is treated like part of one big family (and we feel that way). Management here listens and supports personal development and is FAR more flexible than many others out there in the care sector - they appreciate and welcome hardworking, helpful, kind, dedicated staff and invite frequent feedback to improve on practice and experience along with current guidance and thinking. That said poor working practices, unacceptable behavior and bad practice
