Ravens Bakery

I have tried this local bakery several times & unfortunately 8/10 times, it disappoints. Such a shame because one of the ladies who works there, potentially the owner, is an absolute gem; however, the rest of the staff are generally very rude and very slow.
As a veggie, I've been given a chicken pasty, when asked for a cheese; when I returned this & asked for the correct food, I was greeted with a "well I definitely gave you the cheese one, so you must have stolen it" - please tell me why or how I would steal a pasty in a crowded cafe/bakery that I can't eat just to return it and ask for a replacement

Absolutely superb bakery they have really worked hard to keep going even through lockdown by converting to home delivery overnight as to not let there customers down. The best bread ever with the tastiest cakes. Coffee shop area is a pleasant area to sit in as well as there outside seating. Keep up the hard work Ravens 👍👍

Brilliant family run business. Staff are always lovely and courteous. Have bought many birthday drip cakes in the past and will continue to do so in the future as they have always been spot-on in looks and taste. My personal favourites are their Cherry Pie and Cherry Crumble, they are absolutely amazing. Wouldn’t use any other bakery as Ravens would be very hard to beat.

Popped into Ravens today at 2.15 hoping to sit down for a coffee. As soon as we set foot in the door a lady behind the counter said " Sorry, the cafe is closed now" even though it said on the door they close at 3pm daily. I wouldnt bother going in there again, I will go elsewhere.

I have tried every type of loaf. The bread is decidedly average no different to mass produced supermarket stuff. It lacks body, when you butter it goes flat. If you put in the toaster even when fresh the sourdough takes a minute less than other sourdough's which normally take longer to toast. Claiming to be Artisan is a bit of stretch. Could do better.

Blooming lovely. Was going to have the healthy option, but no salmon. I suffered for my need of breakfast. So had the lot 😂 Great food, well served, not hurried and great Covid protocols. Well done guys 👏👏

Had a lovely afternoon tea and ombré macaron cake for our belated celebrations of my Mum’s 70th birthday. Everything was delicious; prepared and presented with great care. Box for 2 had plenty to share with others. Thank you Ravens!!

I had my first delivery yesterday and first time using the shop and im so happy with all the lovely bits i got. Service was great and arrived early, just in time for a cup of tea and doughnut. Cant wait to order again. Thank you Ravens
