Mark graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2008 and is the owner and principal dentist of London Road Dental Practice. He originates from the Lake District. Over the past 10 years, he has gained a wealth of clinical experience through working in a busy NHS practice.
He loves travelling and has previously worked as a mobile voluntary dentist in Ecuador, travelling around the country helping local patients out of dental pain who would not normally have access to a dentist.Mark is able to offer treatment under sedation for nervous patients who feel unable to cope with treatment without assistance.

Whether you are attending your first visit as a new patient or your regular routine check-up, a thorough assessment of your oral health will be conducted. This will involve checking that all soft tissues, teeth and gums are in a healthy state. We may also take some low dose X-rays to check areas that cannot be assessed by visual inspection alone.

Having just moved to the area I booked in for a same day appointment to have two wisdom teeth removed. The team were absolutely fantastic. After explaining that I haven't been to a dentist in years because of previous bad experiences. I felt very calm, relaxed and well informed of the procedure. Having needed emergency treatment during Covid restrictions in 2020, I registered with the London Road Dental Practice following a recommendation. I was immediately impressed with the efficient and professional care I received from the reception staff, hygienist and Mark himself. The atmosphere is very calm with any procedures clearly explained. I certainly don’t worry about attending appointments! Thank you to Mark and all the team.

Reliable and caring dental practice. Helped me same day when I had an accident (my previous practice offered an appointment a few weeks later). Explained all my options and answered my concerns. Ultimately had my tooth removed and an implant placed. The treatment lasted about 9 months all in all. Had great communication with the practice and dentist and all appointments were standalone so as not to be affected by any covid lockdowns. Appointments were on time, reception is very orderly and clean and payments were broken down by appointment. Enjoying my new tooth now that looks completely natural

I called up on a Thursday about a chip I’ve had on my front tooth. On the Monday I had quick x rays and Tuesday I’m here with a chip-less tooth! I’m so impressed with how accommodating and professional the practice was especially during Covid times!
I can’t speak more highly on my dentist Mark, he was so warm, friendly and lovely to get along with, as well were each dental nurse I met!

Very friendly and professional practice from the receptionist to the dentist and hygienist. After my dental appointment I was able to make an 'on the spot' appointment to see the hygienist who was available same day. I also had my 5 year old who needed x-rays - this was done with ease and precision, he loves the dentist and cannot wait for his next visit. Waiting time was minimal and all of my enquiries could be answered by the staff at London Road Dental Practice.

Absolutely fantastic experience so far with my invisalign treatment. Ali and Sasha have been amazing along with all the other nurses and staff. Lovely and clean practice, friendly and helpful staff and the nurses were so kind to my 3 year old daughter when I had to bring her to my fitting appointment.. They made sure she didn't get bored or get in the way whilst Ali was working on my teeth. Thank you all so much 😊
