Widow's Row Self Catering
Number 165 Widow's Row is a Northern Ireland Tourist Board approved, grade 2 listed property in a row of 12 delightful cottages. These were built following the fishing disaster of 1843, the worst that ever occurred around the shores of County Down. The row has since then remained one of the iconic images of Newcastle.

With a backdrop of the Mourne Mountains and uninterrupted panoramic views over the Harbour and the Dundrum Bay. It is conveniently situated at the Harbour end of the town. It is approximately a 15 minute leisurely walk to Newcastle town centre. However within a short walking distance (3 minutes) you will find The Harbour Inn, which serves food, Mackens Bar, and Olive Bizarre (coffee house) for your enjoyment.
Services
Widow's Row cottage offers cosy, comfortable accommodation for up to 4 people. It is suitable for children. Unfortunately it is not suitable for wheelchair users, as both bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs. The cottage comprises 2 double bedrooms (sleeping maximum of 4 people and a travel cot is available if required, (10 supplement), for child up to two years of age).
Drive through Newcastle towards Newcastle harbour and Kilkeel (A2). Pass the Harbour House Inn (grey coloured building) on your left. About 100m, just before the National Speed Limit sign, take the slip road to your right. Number 165 is the third house (red and white porch) in the first row of terrace houses on your right.
This beautifully situated cottage, at the foot of the Mourne Mountains and yet a stones throw for the sea is a gem of a place to stay. It has two good double bedrooms and all the mod cons. We stayed here with our dog for a long weekend. Had a lovely time. The cottage is so warm and cosy. Anne is such a lovely person.
Arrival & Departure Time: Widow's Row Cottage is available for occupation from 4:00pm on the day of arrival until 10:00 am on the departure date. This allows the property to be cleaned before the next guests arrive. I cannot guarantee acceptance of an earlier arrival or later departure time request, however I will endeavour to do all that is possible to accommodate you.

Have stayed in this fabulous cottage a few times and would highly recommend it. Beautifully decorated and has everything you need, it's like home from home. Added bonus is that its dog friendly πŸΆπŸ‘ Harbour Inn pub is just across the road aswell as access to the beach. The Forest and Granite Trail is accessible from the back of the cottage.
