Services
Manor Healthcare strives to provide its residents with a relaxed, homely and secure environment in which their care, well-being, and spiritual needs are met. Residents are encouraged to participate in all aspects of their care and in the development of their individual care plan. Where appropriate we value the input and contribution of friends, relatives and carers.
At Manor Healthcare, we acknowledge that many people with learning disabilities live active and independent lives, however we also are aware that for others, obtaining the right support and care can be the difference between reaching ones full potential and living a life of isolation, frustration and challenge.
Dementia is the loss (usually gradual) of mental abilities such as thinking, remembering, and reasoning. It is not a disease, but a group of symptoms that may accompany some diseases or conditions affecting the brain. There are many different types of dementia, each with their own causes. The most common dementia symptoms include loss of memory, confusion, and changes in personality, mood and behaviour.
