Services
We are situated on the grounds of St Michael's School in our purpose built Elliot Buildings, and are a charitable organisation that is registered for 42 children. We provide full time education and care for children aged between 0 and 5 years, 51 weeks of the year. Alongside this we also run a breakfast club, after school club and holiday club for children aged between 5 and 11 years.
Our popular breakfast club runs every morning starting at 8.00 am and it's available for all nursery and school age children. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and we ensure that the children are offered a variety of nutritious options. These include; cereals, porridge, toast, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, milk, diluted apple juice or water to drink.
Our Nursery room provides a safe, stimulating and secure environment where we promote children's well-being and development. My name is Rosie. I have been a Childcare Practitioner for 17 years at LCT. I am Room Lead in the Nursery Room (under 3's). The children learn through play, whether it's making sandcastles, threading pasta or squidging jelly.
The Pre-School room offers a safe and secure environment where children are encouraged to become independent learners. Children really thrive on routine and structure. We offer consistency through key workers who build close relationships with the children and their families. We provide a range of sensory activities tailored to the children's needs and interests.
In our Groovy Lizards sessions, we love exploring a range of different musical instruments in small groups once a week. Our children enjoy singing together, building their self confidence and self esteem with music. We focus on children's interests and encourage fine and gross motor skills as well encouraging skills such as listening, attention, knowledge and socialization.
