Welcome to SEP, manufacturers and suppliers of a range of specialist products for the fire sprinkler industry. SEP was founded in 1991, establishing itself as a market leader in the design and manufacture of specialist fire protection products. Originally based in Sale, Greater Manchester we moved to new premises in 2010 due to the requirement for greater production and warehouse facilities.
We moved again, to our current premises (Cheadle, Cheshire, southern M60), in 2017 following further growth and to prepare for the launch of our first ever LPCB-approved product, the ZONE GUARDIAN. Our stock and range of compressors, flow switch test devices, pump initiation boards, booster pumps and associated accessories is constantly expanding - we regularly work with customers to manufacture bespoke solutions, often unique in the market.

Services
Our Beginnings: In the 1980s, Sale-based engineer David Birch had a brilliant idea. After spending many years fabricating pipework for the fire protection industry, he envisaged a way for the industry's installers to save time and money by using offsite pre-fabrication techniques in a more efficient, professional way.
We regularly provide advice, support and technical services to our customers as part of our first class service offering. Whether you require assistance sizing the air compressor or pump unit that you need, you're having problems with set-up, maintenance or need a repair, then give us a call or drop us an email and we'll do what we can, as quickly as we can, to help.
Many different types of pressure gauges, pressure switches, valves of every description, orifice plates, flow meters and custom-built pipework. As a manufacturer of many key components, we also hold a wide range of spares that are available for both planned maintenance and emergency support.
If you are installing a unit and have a question, we offer telephone support, or if you are looking for an installation or maintenance company we work with many different expert fire sprinkler companies around the country. Please give us a call and we would be happy to help you find the right partner.

We manufacture a comprehensive range of compact, self-contained air compressors suitable for dry, pre-action, alternate or tail-end sprinkler systems. All of our compressors are designed to comply with LPC, EN12845 and PED guidelines and are fully set and tested prior to despatch.
Our compressors are manufactured with or without air receivers, or for low-pressure applications; numerous options and variations are available to order to solve any problem - something which most of the competition would struggle to do.We manufacture our unique duplex compressor stations for a number of reasons; the need for resilience/redundancy; additional capacity in the absence of three-phase supply, space-saving etc.

Something which, to our knowledge, is unique - our duplex compressor station. Two compressor pumps automatically controlled on a coincident and/or alternate basis to give additional output at low pressures and backup for maintenance purposes (or in case of component replacement). Our compressors are all manufactured with 24 litre air receivers, so a regulator or air maintenance device can be used if required.
