Garfield's background was originally based in family run businesses. Garfield had the opportunity to study law at Staffordshire University in 2003 and whilst studying Garfield went to work with Paul Jenkins Solicitors on a two week work experience and never looked back. Garfield obtained a 2.1 honors degree in 2006 and achieved a commendation in his Legal Practice Course.
Garfield qualified in 2009 and the rest is history. One of the most worrying aspect of instructing a solicitor is the cost. Historically a solicitors costs have been based upon the hourly rate. There are times where exact costs cannot be given and solicitors have no real alternative than to charge by the hour. However, we firmly believe that this can be limited and that costs can set out in the majority of cases.
Arguably the most stressful aspect of any separation, divorce or dissolution if not handled with skill, care and the right approach. It is preferable if parties can have some form of an agreement or if an agreement can be reached in mediation. However, this is not always possible and in these circumstances we are ready to help you.
Whether you are married or in a civil partnership the end of that relationship can be worrying and stressful leaving you anxious and in the dark about your finances, your home and your children. In a perfect world it would be great to think that couples could agree their differences and come to an amicable and fair settlement without difficulties.
None of us like to think about of our own mortality yet we all strive to look after our dependent's, partners and family for the future. In the event of divorce, an existing will may remain in force until the decree absolute is granted. Generally, a new will would be required at the onset of a divorce.
