Tom started his training in 2006 at Herne Bay Locks with his father Robert. He also had the opportunity to be trained by Trevor Stroud, specialising in vintage lock restorations. From there he learnt a wide range of knowledge of general and auto locksmithing. He continued his apprenticeship for 5 years.
After his apprenticeship he was given the opportunity to become a business partner with his father. From just being a local mobile locksmiths we then were able to cover the whole of southeast Kent which enabled to provide a wide range of vehicle security and general locksmithing further afield. In 2014, we opened up a shop where we sell a larger range of keys, locks and key cutting.

We had a guy come out to look at our key as it was in a bad state the guy just reprogrammed it and assured us it would be fine! we was charged a ridiculous £65 for 2 minutes on a computer and as you might guess it lost connection again when we called to say it wasn’t working they said it wasn’t there problem and they wouldn’t reimburse our money I’m disgusted with this as I haven’t even driven the car once since they done there 2 minutes of reprogramming!! And as a key worker I cannot now get to work! Really unhappy and will be taking this further!

Lost the keys to my work van whilst on site in Chatham . Herne bay locks came out on an emergency call out early evening, gained access to my van, programmed an new key and had me up and running again within the hour,
Excellent service, highly knowledgeable and very professional set up with everything they needed within their van.

Amazing company. Would highly recommend to everyone and anyone. Me and my 1 year old daughter got locked out our house today. Everyone in our area refused to come because it was a difficult job, but they came out and helped as soon as they possibly could. Our door is a really old door, with complicated locks, but he was persistent, and finally let us in. So very thankful to the wonderful man Bob who came out.
