Rumseys Chocolaterie
At Rumsey's we believe that handmade chocolate is something special and want to help people experience it, not just eat it. All our chocolates are made by hand in small batches from our chocolateries in the Chilterns. You can see this for yourself when you visit, or even better take part in a chocolate making workshop.

Our team of chocolate chefs have all been personally trained by Master Chocolatier and founder, Nigel Rumsey. In a world of mass manufacturing we believe handmade matters. No two items we make are exactly the same. Not only will your chocolate have a personal story behind it, it will be one of a kind and we believe that makes it special.
Services
Master chocolatier Nigel Rumsey has been creating his exquisite range of award winning handmade chocolates since 1991. Starting with just a small catering unit at the back of his house, his simple aim throughout his career has been to produce top quality products from the very finest ingredients.

Thirty years experience as a Chef and Patissier has provided the inspiration and depth of knowledge needed to become a Master Chocolatier of distinction.Nigel has travelled from London to Paris and Geneva in order to perfect his skills and learn the secrets of the gourmet chocolate makers of Europe.
The seeds of the business began in 2001 from the family kitchen in Aylesbury. Nigel had been a pastry chef for 20 years and was working in the kitchens of New College Oxford when a colleague asked if he would make a batch of chocolates for him to take home to his family. He enjoyed making them so much that he made a second batch for his own family too.
Send award-winning Rumsey's chocolates by post to show someone how much you care. A luxury chocolate gift is sure to be appreciated by family and friends. From birthday gifts to thank you presents; a little something to say "I miss you" or a celebration of a new baby arrival. We have chocolate gifts suitable for young and old, and perfect chocolate gifts for him and her.
Did you know a truffle is a simple chocolate ganache, made with cream, that's traditionally rolled in cocoa powder creating rich creamy flavour? Our handmade chocolates aren't officially classed as chocolate truffles as each chocolate is made with different flavours and has a range of textures.

Our Orange Seville and Organic Log best represent the idea of a traditional truffle but are even better as they both include other delicious flavours within the ganache - making them a true delight! Each one of our chocolates can be presented in a luxury gift box much like the traditional presentation of chocolate truffles.
We have a huge variety of truffle ganache flavours, a ballotin (8) is 13.25 / (12) 19.75 and (20) 29.95 - UK Delivery is FREE when you spend 100 or 3.99 for everything else. The Chilli Amaretto truffles (made with fresh red chillis) are a big hit and the ever-popular Salted Caramel truffles are one of the fastest sellers.

I came here for a chocolate making experience with a group of friends as a surprise they had organised for me. It was absolutely fantastic. They were all so friendly and helpful despite being very busy. We were shown some great techniques and we all had a fantastic time. The chocolate was brilliant quality and absolutely delicious. I cannot recommend this place enough!

In a word, scrumptious!
Well worth a visit just for their signature Hot Chocolate, but how delightful for this Aussie to find an awesome Australian dessert on display, Pavlova,
Rumsey's delightful team baked this to lightly caramelized perfection. Raspberries offered a refreshingly tart contrast to the shell's fine (and not too sickly) sweetness, melding beautifuly with its luscious, thick filling of fresh British cream.
A rare self-indulgence, but one well worth saving up for.

Nice little place in Thame. Lovely staff and nice coffee. Wish they still did savoury food, but the cakes are amazing.
Our dog's favourite Thame cafe.

Amazing desserts and wonderful staff. Can't wait to go back for another piece of their velvety smooth cheesecake, or the perfect sponge that is their walnut coffee cake!

What would you like with your blueberry-cheesecake? - Whipped cream, ice cream or raspberry coulis?

Important and definitely world-changing questions like these were on the top of our minds, when we entered Rumsey's Chocolaterie after a few hours of leisurely rambling in the Chilterns. In fact, the visit here was almost literally the icing on the cake...

Amongst the blueberry cheesecake, the cake display featured other calorie bombs like chocolate torte, meringue cake or carrot cake - all of which looked temptingly delicious. And believe me: amongst the four of us we tried quite a few of

This place is in the main high street running through the town of Wendover near Aylesbury. I was told about how good it was and what a fabulous place it was to visit. Only a small place it is basically an upmarket café which is always very popular amongst the locals. An added bonus is that the also do a very delicious selection of hand made chocolates which are all hand made on the site. You can actually watch what they do whilst you enjoy your coffee and a piece of scrumptious cake. Prices are slightly higher than you would normally expect, but it is very much worth it.

Beautiful chocolates being made there in the shop smell delicious! Can also sit and eat lunches like the roasted vegetable salad which is gorgeous! Bit pricey but worth every penny if you fancy that little treat, or perfect gift ideas.
