Services
The committee members are nominated and elected by the parents themselves at the annual AGM which takes place in the Autumn term. The committee are responsible for the accommodation, all financial aspects of the pre-school and for staff conditions of employment. Being a part of the committee is a fantastic way of supporting your childs pre-school and having the involvement to help and benefit all of the children.
This in non refundable. Longham Pre-school will charge an attendance fee prior to a child becoming eligible for the Government's Early Education funding. In the term following a child's 3rd birthday, additional services fees will be charged and if funding is being allocated to another provider attendance fees will only be charged.
All 3 and 4 year old children are entitled to some Government funded early education prior to starting school. Early years research clearly shows that good quality early education does benefit children in the long term, particularly the most disadvantaged. It has also shown that high quality, pre-school provision enhances children's all round cognitive, language and social development.
Breakfast and lunch clubs have been very successful. There are a limited number of places for both clubs. The sessions will be charged at 5.40 each and the Governments educational funding will also cover these sessions should you have any funding hours unclaimed. Breakfast and lunch club do not form part of the Governments educational funding therefore there will be a charge of 1.40 per club for funded children.
