Wentworth Garden Centre
Our gift buyers have selected an edited range of quirky gifts and homewares to inspire and adore! We are not a member of any buying group or garden centre chain. We are a long standing, family owned independent and as such care passionately about our customers and their satisfaction. It's a policy that has seen the centre evolve from a tiny village operation into one of the largest garden centres in Yorkshire today.
Services
Walking down Main Street you'd be forgiven for thinking you'd stepped back in time two hundred years. Wentworth Woodhouse looms large over the village that spread outwards from its enormity. Quaint cottages painted in the estate's distinctive green livery line every street, traditional country inns refresh weary travellers and working farms exist in much the way they have for decades.
The gardens as they stand today are scarcely recognisable from the overgrown tangle that we inherited almost four decades ago. Once the green veil of ivy and bramble was swept aside, their hidden beauty began to emerge. Careful cultivation and a staged programme of renovation and regeneration have seen the gardens elevated to RHS Partner Garden status.
The war years were especially cruel to many of Britain's great gardens with Wentworth being no exception. Some survived, many were sadly lost, never to be reinstated when their existence was challenged as life changed forever following the war. Wentworth clung on desperately by its very fingertips, gradually succumbing to the decades of neglect and decay.
Whatever your preferred choice of dining options, you're assured of our unwavering commitment to high quality food and service, combined with contemporary decor in tasteful surroundings. With a dedicated restaurant team, equally passionate about both the dishes they create and your enjoyment of your dining experience with us, we're sure you'll return again and again.
Our 'garden room' is the perfect setting for smaller gatherings whilst our heated marquee is ideal for larger groups. Our hospitality team will take care of everything down to the last detail allowing you time to relax and enjoy the day with your nearest and dearest. You've formally welcomed you precious little one into the world but now you're wanting to share your joy with family and friends.

I love the place but I must object to them assuming that I wanted medium coffees when I prefer small. Naughty way of drumming up profits!? But as I said I love the place so don't let that put you off.

Always find something nice here. Expensive but really good for Christmas stuff. Had a good laugh at this anatomically correct duck bottle opener. I wonder if the designer knew just how correct they were šŸ¤£

This is a beautiful garden centre but you must take a full wallet or your credit card, prices are very high across the range of the facilities and goods available. It is always busy but especially weekends, school holidays and Christmas time. Lots of free parking. Lovely gardens, cafe, restaurant, play area, small farm (petting centre), gift shop, pet shop, range of other shops selling local produce. A nice place to saunter around and have afternoon tea with friends.

Yummy cakes and meals at cafe and great place to buy gift for you or your loved ones. Lots of things to enjoy for all ages.
