Horan Power Engineering's consultants have developed, constructed, operated and maintained renewable generation assets throughout the UK. We have hands on experience in solar PV, anaerobic digestion and wind power both onshore and offshore. Capable of undertaking a range of specialist electrical studies, our engineers work with both transmission and distribution systems, from 11kV through to 600kV HVDC.

Horan Power Engineering provide maintenance and repair services for HV equipment. We provide highly skilled engineers and SAPs with specific experience in maintaining wind farm and solar farm equipment. We operate and maintain approximately 100MW of wind and solar farm equipment. Our solar farm maintenance portfolio includes full maintenance (including panels) on the largest solar farm in Northern Ireland.
We can run a full suite of tests including sheath testing, insulation resistance and tan delta on cables with operating voltages up to 33kV. Much of our work is in the solar sector where cables are critical, but high cost assets, and the aim must be to only replace them just before they fail. We have built up a database of cable 'fingerprints' that allows us to compare your cables against similar cables we have tested.
