Graham Mann has over 25 years experience practising law throughout courts all over Scotland. He has built up a substantial and extremely loyal client base. The practice has grown from exclusively Glasgow based many years ago, to one that now extends to courts throughout the country. The practice has increased its base almost exclusively through word of mouth and referral business, reflecting its high standard of representation and reliability.
Despite speeding being the most common of road traffic offences it can be the bane of a motorist's life. It can mean penalty points that can push you over the edge and into disqualification from driving. It can also cost you a lot of money either in a fine or in higher car insurance premiums. Obeying the speed limit is important but when you get caught on the wrong side of the limit you need expert help.
Whether someone is using a mobile phone while driving has become a more complicated question in recent years. Many lawyers in this area of the law will have advised clients previously about preserving evidence when challenged by the police on the use of a phone.
Show the police, where possible, the phone alleged to have been used (IMEI number as well, which is the phones unique identifier) and demonstrate that you hadn't used the phone while driving. If the police don't take you up on this offer to examine the phone, and they rarely do, you can contact your provider where you would ask for a record of incoming and outgoing calls.

With increased detection of speeding offences and mobile phone use, penalty points have become the focus of many a driver. Under the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988 Section 35 reaching 12 penalty points on your licence means disqualification in most cases. Fines are only limited to the extent they reflect the offence.
