Werneth Low Golf Club is known locally as "The friendly club with stunning views" and after visiting we are sure that you will agree that this slogan is well justified. The club is located to the south east of Manchester and enjoys glorious views of the Cheshire Plain, the Peak District National Park and the City of Manchester.
The course is an 11 hole course played as a hybrid 18. This affords the great advantage in that if you do not have time to play 18 holes or only have a couple of hours to spare the course lends itself to allowing you to play 7, 9, 11 or 13 holes and you finish back at the clubhouse! The clubhouse itself offers amazing views over the adjoining countryside and to complement this it has a very large elevated patio with ample seating and tables.

The Clubhouse, Bar and Kitchen will be open at the times shown below. However, there are restrictions in place to ensure social distancing. Please observe these when you come into the clubhouse and follow the guidance on the signs. There will be a seated service only, do not stand at the bar. The Bar and Kitchen will be open at other times as necessary for golfing events, club matches and private functions.
Werneth Low Golf Club is delighted to have as our PGA Professional Jamie Tipper. Jamie was a junior member at the club and is now happy to be back at the club he has always considered as home. He qualified through the PGA degree course and gained invaluable experience as Assistant Professional at both Stockport Golf Club and Denton Golf Club before coming to Werneth Low in 2014.
We do hope you enjoy your time as a member, guest or visitor at Werneth Low Golf Club and ask that you make yourself aware of the guidance below. Everyone is asked to abide by the guidance and everyone has a responsibility to remind others of about it if they are diverging from it. All players must wear appropriate golf clothing and golf shoes while playing the course.
SUMMIT : This can be a difficult tee shot due to the ground sloping from left to right. The ball will always kick to the right, so it's best to land the ball on the left side of the fairway or make a draw shot so the ball is hitting against the slope. A troublesome ridge runs across the fairway at about 230yds.

Played yesterday In a fourball, testing course with some beautiful holes. Well maintained course with some tricky greens you have to hit blind. The pro and members were very helpful and friendly, letting us know where to go. Would definitely recommend. It was a struggle climbing up the 18th fairway but it made you work up a thirst for the 19th, would recommend hiring a buggy if some are available.

The golf course was a real joy to play. challenging to walk 18 holes because of the hilly nature which is what you expect given the location. The course was in great condition and the greens were quick and true. The views are stunning and worth the green fee just for that. I will definitely play there again and look forward to the bar being open then.

I had no idea this gem was only 10 mins away! Went to exercise the dog, parked outside the golf club and walked towards the war memorial. Such a lovely view! Great place to take kids and dogs for a good run around and it's big enough that everyone can stay socially distanced. I'll be back especially in the summer! Only complaint is there was only 1 bin so it seems many people didn't pick up after their dogs.
