Services
The story of Scott Welding starts with its founder, Gary Scott, at the age of 16. His parents were pioneers of the salmon farming industry in Shetland and led the way for the aquaculture business that now thrives on these islands. After spending his first few years learning the ropes of fish husbandry Gary shifted his attention to the engineering workshop where it soon became clear that he had an interest in welding and fabrication.
Fish farms have machinery in every step of the process, so if you need something fabricated, repaired or invented, you want to speak to someone who knows what you're talking about. Scott Welding & Fabrication can make replacement parts for all kinds of marine and fishing equipment, whether it is fabricating a like-for-like replacement, or making something from scratch to solve a mechanical problem and improve functionality.
As part of our service to the marine and aquaculture industry, we are registered agents for HS MARINE cranes, official dealers for TENFJORD equipment, soul agents in UK for PUMP SUPPLY AS products and dealers for EXLED lighting. Many boats house a crane for offshore lifting that has to withstand the tough marine environment.

Fitted both Ocean Farm Services AK34, HS Marine Cranes, onboard their vessel Ocean Aquila.
Our purpose built workshop is fitted with new modern equipment including an overhead chain hoist for manoeuvring larger items around the workshop and a large yard area with storage facilities. We are located in Tingwall, central mainland, only 6 miles from the main town Lerwick, where many of our items are shipped to their destinations.
