The two main driving routes to Scotland from the south are via the east of England on the A1, or via the west using the M6, A74(M) and M74. Both the RAC and the AA offer route-planning guides on their websites to help you plan your journey. From Glasow and Edinburgh allow 3 hours to reach Inverness.

We booked in Nov 2020 for a week long van hire in August 2021. We booked a Swift 144 for the 2 of us and our 2 cockapoos. Throughout the process Lynda was exceptionally polite and helpful, her tour of the van when we picked it up was superb as we were first time motorhome users and pretty clueless. All contact was professional and prompt and we would not hesitate in hiring from them again. The Scottish Highlands and beautiful weather played their part in an amazing holiday experience.

An amazingly kind and professional service from Highland Campers. The boiler on our own motorhome started playing up and left us with no heating or hot water. We made an unannounced pit-stop into Highland campers. They helped us out straight away and our holiday could continue. I wish every company I dealt with were like this. Can’t recommend them enough. Will not be using again. Put my caravan in for a service and was told it would be 2-4 days. The next day i was phoned to ask would it be ok to keep for a few more days as they were busy and would struggle to get it done. I told them there was no rush as i wasn't going to be using it for a few weeks - big mistake! I phoned several times over the next 4(!) weeks to ask what the status of the van was, and the 2 or 3 times i managed to get through to someone, who was verging on obnoxious, they started quoting that i had said there was no rush! It got to the point that it was getting very close to us

Highland Campervans. Staff unfailing polite and patient during contact before our trip.
We trickled about minor roads and lanes, visiting places we had never seen before. The van never complained about the driving! We had one minor hiccup with our water supply but the staff went out of their way to help. This really was minor, and had no negative impact on our holiday.
Our favourite place was The Black Isle. Cromarty and Fortrose felt our kind of places.

My partner and I couldn't speak more highly of the service received from Lynda at Highland Campers. She was kind, helpful and welcoming from start to finish. Communication before the pickup was excellent and the handover informative, covering everything we needed to know.
The van itself was amazing. It was comfortable and had all the necessities anyone needs. It was easy to drive and easy to maintain.

Brilliant service they were rushed off their feet and I only needed a minor repair. politely they explained the situation but after a wee wait the service manager solved my problem effectively and I was on my way.

Just finished a 7 day holiday in a Globescout Vario 3, 7 days of sunshine definitely helped but couldn’t fault this company. We had good communication with them and the van was really squeaky clean on pickup. They have nailed COVID rules and make it a seamless transition from pick up to drop off. See you again shortly for our next trip.
