This decision has not been taken lightly, after 22 years it has been a hard decision to make, but is due to the devastating impact of the last year. We are still offering lessons to our liveries, and we have pony club running for the children that are loaning ponies. If anyone needs to contact us please email info@runningwell.co.uk as the office is not currently staffed full time.

I used to work, for a period of six month I think it was. This during the year 1998/1999. If I remember it correctly Ruth took over the center and slightly changed the name. It was for the better, for both horses and staff. I gave vivid memories chasing one of the ponies by the name of Megan. A chestnut pony with the form af a barrel with short legs. She was always running away like a Houdini version of a horse.
And another one of the horses, Puzzle, black and white with a great moustasch and the longest bottom lip.
And Chester, the friendly chestnut.
I guess they have past over to the ever

I rode at there for over 9yrs before I had to give up due to illness., I had ridden at a number of schools and this was the best by far. I really like the small classes, well schooled horses and excellent instruction. The students being separated into different riding abilities is really good as are the horses being graded too. Thank you to everyone who made my riding really enjoyable. Stephanie Liddell.

Children's Riding Morning Experience - Booked this as a gift for two 9 year olds, they loved it, we loved seeing them become more confident and happy with their ponies and they learned quite a lot in a morning including the 'fun' bit of cleaning a pony.
Tips
Parents and Children - Wrap up warm if you go when cold as you sit in a big riding school on plastic chairs in a windy elevated platform in the Riding arena / School.
Wear boots / wellys
Wear old coats / clothes as the children get down and dirty clearning 'poo' out of the ponies tail and coat (water, shampoo and sponges are all helpfully

Runningwell is a very well run riding stable. The horses all seem happy, clean and well cared for, instruction is varied, challenging (in a good way) and professional, they have both indoor and outdoor schools and they do a good cup of tea and bacon buttie in the café too. I would not hesitate to recommend Runningwell to others.
