Venery Lodge Boarding Kennels is a unique, family run Kennels and we Love our Guests as much as we Love our Own Dogs. In fact, our motto is "Loved Like Our Own". The Boarding Kennels are owned and managed by Allan and Rachel and are set within the beautiful picturesque West Dorset area between Yeovil and Dorchester in the village of Toller Porcorum.
After realising a lifelong dream Allan and Rachel are thrilled to have found this opportunity. Dogs will be very well looked after in Allan and Rachel's care, as very knowledgeable Gundog owners themselves with over 35 years combined experience.

Services
Each individual Kennel is heated with a heat lamp and each dog has access to it's own covered external run that is available throughout the day (weather permitting). Dogs are also provided with sole use of the secure grass exercise enclosure regularly throughout the day. Please note Dogs will be let out on an individual kennel basis therefore if Dogs from same household are sharing they will be let out to play and interact together.

Rachel and Allan are great hosts, my two have just returned from a long weekend it being the first time since August 2019 that they've been away from me, mostly due to COVID and holidays that were booked last having having to be cancelled and indeed two already this year since cancelled. So a long weekend it was, they both trotted off with Allan without even looking back at their owner!!! Settled straight in as if they'd been there a week ago, happily had two walks a day, happy in same kennel together (They are Mother and Daughter), morning cuddles are especially important and I appreciated a few

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability
Have just picked my Dog up after a week's stay here. Usually after a visit to a kennels he is skittish and will take a few days to settle back in as he suffers from anxiety. He has come back a happy dog who settled straight back in almost instantly. Can't recommend Venery Lodge enough. Will definitely be using then again

What a little Gem! Firstly, Allan and Rachel have to be two of the nicest people who you would want to meet, exactly the people I want to be looking after my precious dog. They were very patient with me when I was running late, they listened and took on board my particular requests and were so friendly, easy-going and professional. I was so happy with my dog's stay there and would 100% recommend and use the kennels again.

Due to house move we have found this lovely Kennels. Lovely Kennels in beautiful location, very quiet. In fact nothing like a Boarding Kennels! The owners are a lovely couple who really do love dogs. On our initial visit to view we saw just how relaxed all the dogs staying there were and how happy they looked. This is our new forever Kennels for our dogs. Looking forward to getting our puppy trained by Allan. Highly Recommend *****

We have used Venery kennels many times for our dog Pippin.
Allan and Rachel are super, the location and ambience lovely, we always feel he is nurtured and cared for, even his blanket was washed by them for us before pick up.
He is always happy to go.
They are both warm, caring people and we have never felt unhappy at leaving him.
Rachel and Allan have also been so accommodating at short notice. We very much appreciate Venery Kennels and their efforts to make sure it is a secure and happy place for our dog.

So pleased to have found these brilliant kennels. Rachel and Allan are extremely helpful and kindly sorted out our last minute booking. We were very impressed with the care and attention given to the dogs, to get to know them each personally. Our 9 month old retriever would have stayed longer if she could! We've already booked her in for another stay :)

We left our dog Pippin with Allan and Rachel at Venery Kennels for two weeks this month. They were able to accommodate him at a week's notice which we were most grateful for after plans changed. We had a good welcome and he was happy to go with Allan. He came back happy, clean and we were most happy with the service. We will use Venery again. Only downside was that we had to pay in cash for 2 weeks which was a little inconvenient but I believe from Rachel that this is being rectified and a card machine and bank transfer arrangements are going to be put in place.
