Anglian Excavations Limited is based at Rattlesden near Bury St Edmunds, West Suffolk and was established in 1954. Today Anglian Excavations Limited boasts a comprehensive fleet of plant with a team of highly skilled and experienced plant operatives, with workshop and engineering support staff providing routine maintenance, on site repair services and full chassis up rebuild.

Health, Safety and the Environment are at the top of our agenda. The organisation is fully committed to promoting a safe working environment for its operatives and to others who may be affected either directly, or indirectly by our activities. We also take environmental issues seriously and therefore, assess our environmental impact in all our undertakings.
Anglian Excavations is committed to ensuring that all operatives are trained and competent in what they do, from driving and operating machinery to grinding steel in the workshop for a particular fabrication job. To support this approach, Anglian Excavations is an accredited SPA MPQC quarry safety passport training provider.
This our core activity; we offer considerable expertise and a well-maintained fleet of specialist heavy earthmoving equipment. The management team is backed up by experienced highly skilled machine operators, who are familiar with specialist programmes and tight schedules.
Equipment available includes 360° excavators, articulated dumptrucks, tractor and box scrapers, and bulldozers to be able to cope with a multitude of operational requirements.Site monitoring and safety briefings are a key component of our safety management system at Anglian excavations. We undertake frequent toolbox talks with our operatives to reinforce disciplines and procedures.

Soil and overburden stripping, including working closely with any archaeological investigation teams. The full package - green field to final restoration on a fixed cost per tonne basis, which can include management services and GPS survey support to meet approved design features. All our supervisory staff and machine operatives hold an up to date SPA MPQC Mineral Sector Safety Passport.
Volvo A25 Articulated Dump Trucks, fitted with automatic tail gates and "Silt Lids" fabricated in our own workshop, provide the answer to this sticky problem. Loaded with a 42 tonne, 20 metre Long Reach Hydraulic Excavator, wet silt, which is often used to restore the extraction void, can be hauled over long distances with minimum spillage and maximum payload.
