West Barr Holiday Park
If you're looking for a stunning location, full of natural beauty, then West Barr Holiday Park is the perfect place for you. If you are thinking of purchasing your own holiday home by the sea then West Barr Holiday Park is the place for you. Established in 1961 by 'Granny Stewart' with one static holiday home the park has grown over the years and in 2007 Ean & Joyce upgraded the entire park to modern standards.

Piped services, gravel parking space, individual sea view to each pitch and 11 month season March - January. Watch aerial footage which shows off West Barr Holiday Park from a vantage point only birds are normally able to see. The fly-by footage of the resort showcases our special part of Dumfries and Galloway.
Services
West Barr Holiday Park has been running as a caravan site since 1961 by the Stewart family and has grown over the years. Each pitch has its own gravelled parking space for clean and easy access to your holiday home by the sea. We have many sea front pitches to choose from and also five pitches over-looking the pond - beautiful on a summers evening.
We have a selection of used holiday homes for sale from leading manufacturers include ABI, Willerby, Pemberton & Swift. Before you make any decision we would advise that you come and visit the park, have a look around, meet us and look at any holiday homes which interest you. This way you can get a feel for the place and enjoy the sea air!
Owning your own holiday home can be a big step but at West Barr Holiday Park we make every step of the way easy. Not actually staying in a caravan. We have rented the cottage a little further on that belongs to the caravan park. The cottage has it's own grounds which are enclosed which is ideal for the dogs to run around in. The cottage is comfortable with two bedrooms and a small conservatory on the side, you are only 30yards from a rocky beach. There is parking for two cars. You are only five minutes from Port William with limited amenities but the nice village of Wigtown is only 15 minutes away with lovely shops etc.

We stayed at the cottage and it is a lovely warm and well equipped cottage with fantastic sea views from the consevatory.
The garden is large and fully enclosed, which the dogs loved.
It is literally a stones throw from the beach which is very rocky and not the easiest to walk on, though the dogs didn't mind!

This is a lovely quiet spot. Depends what you are looking for, but we loved it. Stayed in the Farmhouse which was spacious, clean, well finished and which had a comprehensive range of crockery and utensils in the kitchen. I would definitely recommend this for a peaceful break by the ocean.

Really nice place peaceful and good amenities. We hired the large cottage which was first class. The broadband was a little slow but that was only minor gripe. Loved the BBQ and quiet atmosphere. Really great staff on site too. Highly recommended

West Barr is a beautiful, unspoilt location at any time of the year. These pictures were taken while I spent 3 weeks at this lovely, cosy cottage in February. The cottage is well equipped & has everything you could possibly need. The cottage is situated next to the sea & West Barr' s very own private pond which often has ducks on it. Yesterday there was a heron perched on the side of it & the ducks were coming & going at their leisure. If you are looking for a place far from the madding crowd without compromising on modernity then this is the place for you.

A fantastic place to stay. House was well equipped, beautiful location and everything you need, such as towels, toilet roll and iron. We were dispopointed with port william it's self. It does not provide much for the tourists. We traveled quite far for essentials.
If you have small children a small park is at front of house. But maybe take toys too. Lots of places to visit. It was beautiful. Just got back after a week and missing those comfy beds and beautiful views. X
