I love everything to do with weddings, from my first contact with an excited Bride, who has so many things to plan, through to the wonderful day and follow up afterwards, designing and creating a beautiful wedding album for the Bride and Groom which we are all proud of and will hold treasured memories for the rest of their lives.
Photographing families, children and pets is a wonderful experience and I really enjoy meeting the amazing people who book me to capture a moment in time. I can arrange to meet you at a suitable location for the photo shoot and recommend somewhere which as well as being a great background for the images, also is a special place to you.
Over the years I have had the privelege of photographing so many lovely people and fascinating subjets from all walks of life. Commercial photography always allows me to use my creativity to the full and every job is different.

When I became a wedding photographer, my passion for wedding makeup and hair reared it's head! I absolutely love making up faces and seeing the bridal party glow with excitement as they prepare for the big day ahead! It made sense to be able to create the 'total look' for Bride's on their most special day and I specialise in smaller and 'Just us' weddings, where I provide makeup, hair and photography.

From start to finish Rachel was amazing, from booking our photography, hair and make up, right up until our wedding day. She was really helpful, and nothing was too much trouble.
On our wedding day we had some unexpected snow but Rachel battled through and arrived, finishing everyone's hair and make up on time with half an hour to spare.
She made us feel at ease and we are so pleased with our final wedding pictures.

Rachel was absolutely fabulous at capturing our proposal and photos that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. Even braving the rain and cold to stand outside and wait for the perfect moment to capture my now fiance's complete surprise! The quality of the photos was second to none and Rachel went above and beyond to ensure everything was set up for the day.

Rachel did our photography for my daughters wedding, not only that she offers a full range of make up and beauty services, she styled my daughters hair and make up for her special day and when we went for her practice run, she was lovely and welcoming and understood exactly what my daughter wanted.
The night before the wedding we went to have our nails and eyebrows trimmed and she was so reassuring during this visit
On the wedding day, she felt part of the family and helped to prepare not only the bride but the bridesmaids hair and even helped me to get ready.
Finally the photos were beautiful

We booked Rachel for our Just Us wedding in October 2019. I did make the journey to Kendal for a hair and make up trial about a month before. It was worth the effort as it was one less thing to worry about knowing that I would like the result. Also, to have got to know Rachel a little rather than just meeting at the ceremony. I was so glad that I had my hair and make up done as Rachel knows what works with the camera. It was also great to have someone getting you ready when you don't have any family or friends there. It was a very dark and dismal day and rained heavily the whole time so most of

Rachel provided hair, makeup & photography for our just us wedding this month. Rachel was attentive and professional from our first enquiry and throughout. When our big day arrived was able to put us at ease immediately. Was so happy with my hair and makeup it was just as imagined.
Rachel captured every moment from getting ready to the 'I dos' , our first dance, and all the other wonderful moments, even took the most amazing pictures outside on a very wet and moody day. We were overwhelmed and over the moon when we saw our pictures. Thank you x

Rachel took some lovely photos of me and my husband on our wedding day. She was thinking of us and organised most of the outside pictures while the weather was dry and came out with us in the rain when the boat came. My family really enjoyed talking to her throughout the day. We haven't had any pictures blown up yet for display as we can't choose which ones yet but can't wait.
