It's easy to take your car for granted, it gets you where you want to go each and everytime you use it and you think nothing of it. But without a little care and attention in winter you could end up stranded on the hard shoulder. If anything at least ask yourself when you last did these checks, if ever!

Services
We understand the essential safety considerations and our customers demands for the best value. Huge stocks from leading manufacturers plus a comprehensive selection of great value budget brands and others ensure that you can rely on Tyldesley Tyres and Exhaust to have the right tyres for your motoring needs.
At Tyldesley Tyres and Exhaust we aim to make Exhaust, Tyre and Brake repairs or the annual MOT test as pleasant and painless as possible. We want you to leave safe in the knowledge that you've had sound advice and excellent service by people who know the business. Our personal approach - and feedback from our customers - convinces us that our service will beat the national chains for value, expertise and reliability every time.
Before we go any further, here is a word of caution. Checking or fixing the brakes is not something that you can do yourself. When in doubt, have a qualified mechanic check the problem. Your mechanic will identify any issues and do the necessary repairs and adjustments. A proper repair is very important for your safety as well as the safety of other people on the road.
Your car should normally give you a smooth and comfortable ride on decent roads. If you notice an abnormal vibration in the steering wheel or a bumpy ride, it's time to get your wheels and tyres checked. Assuming that your tyres are in good shape, the chances are that you are having a wheel balancing or wheel alignment problem.
In the United Kingdom, all vehicles over three years old must have an annual mandatory MOT test to determine their road worthiness, safety and exhaust emissions for use on public roads. VOSA (Vehicle and Operator Services Agency) is the government agency that issues MOT test certificates. VOSA has licensed and authorized almost 20,000 car servicing and local repair garages around the country to carry out MOT testing.

Awful experience! Took my car for an MOT. The mechanic broke a part on the headlight washers and instead of just owning up to it decided to lie to my face and say they didn't work and it was a fail on my MOT.
When I questioned this saying i know they work can he show me. He then said its OK if you know they work ill pass it on the MOT.
I got home thinking this was a strange thing to happen that they would change a fail to a pass just on my saying so.
Luckily I have a little knowledge of the part and when I looked it at I could see it had not only been damaged but then crudely glued back on to
