Fruit trees are cheap, healthy, easy to handle and fun. Ours are UK grown and include eating and cooking apples, eating and cooking cherries, damsons, medlars, pears, plums, quinces and many more. All our Apple Trees are grown on rootstock M26 therefore they are all Dwarf Bush Apple Trees which grow to a height of 6-7ft.

These trees are ideal for smaller gardens where space is limtied. All varieties need a pollination partner. Bramley Seedling: The most popular cooking apple of all time. Requires 2 pollinators. Few other cooking apples bake so easily into the deliciously light, fluffy, syrup infused puree that is the ideal cooked apple - the flavour is mouth wateringly tangy and fruity and the texture is simply perfect.
Services
Our nursery is based in Maesymeillion, a small village a few miles outside of Llandysul, & is known locally as 'Gwastod Nursery'. This is where all our growing is done. We grow all of our own vegetable & bedding plants - all the Marigolds, Pansies etc you see at Trefhedyn are grown by our own fair hands.
Trefhedyn is a family run business which began as a florist. My mother wanted to open a Florist when we moved from Stevenage to Newcastle Emlyn in 1973. We opened a Florist and Gift shop in the Autumn of 1973. The flower department is now run by my wife, Eirian, and we currently have 2 florists. Traditional or modern, there is something for everyone at Trefhedyn.
Growmore: A multipurpose plant food with an even balance of nutrients to feed all the plants in your garden. It can be used when preparing new beds & to provide essential nutrients throughout the growing season. Apply as a top dressing or use under mulches. It can also be used in the preparation of new lawns.
The Winawood bench can be left outside all year-round, does not require a cover, no need to oil or stain and it looks like real wood, 100% Zero Maintenance! Perfect for a memorial bench, the Winawood range can be screwed into without damaging the material, and it is very simple to add a plaque, and anchor down to the ground.
We carry many different types of pot grown hedging plants to cater for everybody's different needs and tastes. Our most popular pot grown hedging are Laurel and Leylandii due to their fast growing nature. Leylandii: Leylandii is a fast growing, evergreen hedge and is available in green or golden foliage.

This visit I went to buy Spring bulbs. They had a huge range, I was spoilt for choice. An excellent selection and much cheaper than online or from catalogues.

A very pleasant Garden Centre with loads of plants and garden/gardening items both indoors and outside. It was much bigger than I thought it was and prices were fairly reasonable too!

Great service and fantastic knowledge and help surrounding gardening which I simply have no clue about. Bought a fair few Cherry Laurel trees from Trefhedyn last year (2020). Unfortunately, the winter took a few of them and they simply didnt recover in the spring. Went and spoke with Trefhedyn and got some advice from them and they were kind enough to replace the cherry laurel that did not survive. Absolutely fantastic service and cant reccomend highly enough. Thank you. We will be back soon.

Great family run garden centre and pet supplies. The owner is very hard working and extensivly knowledgeable, the staff are always welcoming and very helpful. The pet dept is run by a little gem and the arranged flowers for special occasions and sad departures are first class. Well done, you all should be very proud.
Don't miss this West Wales, must visit, open 7days a week, fantastic Garden Centre.
