This reveiw is about the customer service received when ringing albatross head quarters with a question.
Had a pre booked taxi on Christmas eve with a a pre booking quote of around £32 by the end of the journey the metre was at £49 due to the pre authorisation there wasn't much to do about it at the time. When ringing to ask about this descrepency due to it being so large and having done the journey previously at £30 I was told "it's Christmas eve, that's the price just use someone else that's cheaper".

On Friday night after Western cars failed to show a friend and I were stranded in Derby at 3am. Being two girls on our own, Albatross immediately sent us a taxi, he was there within ten minutes despite the guy on the phone saying it might be a wait. Unfortunately I did not get the driver's name, he was so friendly and made us feel so safe. Thank you 5* service.

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality
Our Taxi arrived an hour and a half late. Obviously by this time we had used an Uber instead. If you couldn't do the booking you could have just said no, rather than letting us down. Unfortunately this Albatross seems to have stopped flapping it's wings entirely.

I use Albatross cars many times a week for work, and it's usually excellent. Today however the driver decided it would be a good idea to start shouting at me through his window as he pulled up. Something about "keeping an eye out for the taxi, and answering my phone". I was stood directly outside the address I had given the whole time since booking, and have never had a problem being picked up there before. When I said this to him he just repeated, " Well, yeah. But answer your phone". Not sure what caused him to become aggressive to be honest. I have bad days at work too, but I don't berate my

I just wanted to pop up a quick post, saying how I enjoyed using your taxi firm over the last few days. I do not know Derby at all, and I must confess that your taxis were a bit of a life-saver. I found your drivers to be courteous and prompt and, if I find myself in Derby again, I would use your service without hesitation.

Driver pretended he didn't know about bridge closure in Burton so he could charge us double on the meter. He mentioned it nervously four times or so and I could tell he was lying about the traffic as a real pro driver would know about a huge bridge closure. I would never call this taxi service again and warn others to stay away.
