A perfectly good clutch also can be ruined by oil contamination; the cable or hydraulic linkage can fail, or the release bearing, pilot bearing/bushing or fork can wear out and prevent the clutch from working properly.

Offered me a courtesy car at time of booking a date for my VW transporter to have a timing belt and mot done. I didn't need a courtesy car and even on the drop off day they offered again if I needed a courtesy car or a lift back home which is good as things can change.They kept me upto date on my repairs that needed done. I also had a set of alloys wheels which I wanted fitted on to my van and asked if they could swap them for my steel wheels. No problem they didn't even charge me for this service. After the Lexus dealership quoting crazy prices for brake pads on my car and informing me that I needed wheel alignment ..... that they couldn’t do as the car was too low (standard isf suspension) I contacted Scott who was highly recommended. Brilliant service from start to finish provided a nice wee courtesy car and they done the brakes and the… four wheel alignment and the car feels brilliant. Back the next day all done and a health check was done (2 weeks after a £550 service at Lexus) Scott identified that the coolant was not up to speck..... no mention from Lexus. My warranty
