I'm passionate about multifuel and wood burning stoves and I'd like to help you make sure that your stove is ready for the winter months. I can service or repair your multifuel or woodburning stove for you. I welcome enquiries about all makes of stoves and will travel throughout the North East (Newcastle, Northumberland, Wearside, Co Durham).
I can vouch that he was professional and knowledgeable, answering questions about using my multi-fuel stove and leaving my home as it had been before he came no mess whatsoever and had to be persuaded to take a little more money than he had quoted me for just the sweeping! We knew our stove needed checked after nearly three years' use and eventually got Ian Welford's name and details.
With a chimney sweep and stove repair service you can have your stove repairs carried out at the same time as having your chimney swept. We advise that you always use a pair of heat resistant gloves/gauntlets when refuelling your stove; these protect your arm as well as your hands. Some stoves have heat resistant handles but many have metal handles that get extremely hot. Using a stove top or flue pipe thermometer can help to ensure you keep your stove working safely and efficently.
Ian cleaned & resprayed our two stoves, as well as giving out excellent, practical advice on sourcing wood and smokeless fuel, and looking after the stoves more generally. Friendly and professional, I'd certainly use Ian again, and would recommend anyone with a stove do the same.
