I am a fully insured and experienced dog groomer I have a City and Guilds qualification passed with Distinction. In our dog grooming salon we provide a top quality one to one service, throughout, making it less stressful for your dog. We only use top quality shampoos, conditioners, colognes and coat aids for all types of coat whether they be wire coats or silky coats.
To groom your dog to a high standard takes between 1.5 - 2.5 hours for a small or medium dog who's coat is in good condition, if the salon needs your dog for longer than that, your dog may be held in a queue whilst other dogs are groomed, any less than that it would be difficult to do a thorough job.
This depends on your dog's breed and size, the type of coat and condition of coat, as well as the type of trim. My average is about 1.5 - 2 hours per dog. I prefer to start a puppy's grooming at around 12-16 weeks. I do NOT recommend a haircut the first time---it is asking a lot of the groomer to use scissors and clippers on a wiggly puppy.
