SRD was set up by three CNC machinists working next to each other at a large factory in Buckinghamshire, the new to be partners saw an opportunity to become one of the best machine shops in the area using their expertise to rival the competition.

High quality turned parts are produced using a range of Doosan lathes from a 2 axis machine through to a Twin spindle Y axis. Bar feeds allow us to take on the large batch sizes. Our Doosan Puma 2600SY & TT1800SY handles the intricate high quality turned parts. CNC Turning from 2mm up to 250mm Diameter we can cater for most production or prototype jobs you need.
Milled components are produced on machines ranging from 3 axis VMC's through to high speed, high accuracy 5 axis. SRD has invested in new machines on the market, which include the awesome DMG DMU 50's and the powerful DMG DMU 60 eVo. Further complimenting our capacity, we can now offer batch work using our brand new 4th Axis Horizontal Matsuura pallet machine, the stunning H-plus 300 15 pallets.
Purchasing our first sliding head automatic lathe in 2009 as a result of a customer enquiry, SRD are extremely competitive on high volume sliding head machining / turning batch work. In 2018, we added to our capacity three additional machines which represent the very latest in technological advances.
With the new addition to our sliding head capacity increasing to 4 Citizen lathes, and the introduction of a Matsuura Horizontal 15 pallet mill, we can provide volume work or scheduled orders. Our computerized stores can hold stock on customer allocated racking and supply components to meet customers demands and perfectly timed schedules.
