The Oliver Twist Country Inn is an independently owned family business run by John Spencer and his wife Kelly. Voted the best restaurant in Wisbech, They provide a very welcoming atmosphere to The Oliver Twist Country Inn in Guyhirn - situated between the three major towns of Wisbech, Peterborough and March.
John has been a chef for some 20 years, and trained in some of the finest restaurants across the country before becoming a head chef in his own right. Kelly joined the ranks in 2006 as John's front of house manager, and after re-establishing a country pub together in Leicester, they both moved to Guyhirn in 2008 to take on The Oliver Twist.

Food was out of this world. So tasty. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Not a huge place but if you book, space is adequate. The only reason it lost a star was the allergy chart wasn't great to see. I would suggest a different colour for eat logo. Also not a lot of pudding choice for lactose free.

A nice comfortable overnight stay at this small country Inn a couple of miles outside Wisbech.
They have 6 motel style bedrooms accessed from the car park which are a good size and are comfortable with a good size en-suite.
A nice modern reception and dining area and lovely friendly helpful staff.
Thoroughly recommended.

Looking forward to this meal out to celebrate wedding anniversary.Exterior of property looks welcoming and well tended.Good car parking.Service from staff very good. Dining area rather bland and utilities. No table cloths. Food we chose not in our opinion up to scratch.Crab fritters taste of crab bot only crab flavoured sauce within.Steak pie well filled but surrounded by very dense hard and unappetising pastry. My wife's Malayan curry OK but very bland. To compensate drinks we ordered where classed as complimentary.

We arrived here late after food had stopped being served. But they managed to put on some chips for me and my wife. What absolute life savers , as we were so hungry. The bar lady ( land lady ) was really friendly and welcoming. Very clean too .
We will be coming again. Thank you.
Update
We have returned. The food here is perfect. Served hot as you'd expect , also fresh food. Service with a smile. Staff here are extremely nice, all smiles and kindness. We shall return here again and bring more people ( inlaws )
