Precision Parts Engineering recognised, that its continuous growth and its ability to compete with lower-cost global competitors meant developing an expertise that gave it an advantage. Through a high quality investment programme, Precision Parts Engineering has a first class large machining facility that can now offer table envelopes from 1mm to 4 metres.
To enable Precision Parts Engineering to stay ahead of its competitors and to offer its client base the most efficient platform for CNC Machining, the company has invested, and continues to invest in the latest CNC Turning technology. With experience gained over many years, Precision Parts Engineering knew that the Colchester Combi range of lathes was the perfect solution to clients' demands for quality, accuracy and reliability.
Such is the versatility and flexibility of Precision Parts Engineering's CNC Vertical Milling section that it can machine components from 1mm to 4 metres.

Although Precision Parts Engineering was aware that having a skilled and motivated workforce and the establishment of 'Lean Manufacturing' were essential parts of the equation, it was also aware that it needed a range of VMC Machines that gave it desired tolerance levels, improved surface finishes and minimum waste.
Precision Parts Engineering was aware, that despite advances in technology in many aspects of machining, particularly in the field of Milling, Boring and Turning, there were times when clients demanded greater accuracy and finish to components.

As these demands could not be achieved either by CNC or conventional machining, and to give Precision Parts Engineering the flexibility needed to meet such requests, investment was made in Wire and Spark Erosion technology. This facility at Precision Parts Engineering can sustain micron accuracy levels and with the job and the machine table submerged in temperature controlled deionised water, holes can be bored with complete accuracy.
Precision Parts Engineering has partnered an original equipment manufacturer whose core businesses is the design and development of large marine and land based diesel engines. With the expansion of its large machining capacity and the installation of a crane facility with a lift of 5 tonnes, Precision Parts Engineering has become heavily involved with companies actively engaged in oil & gas exploration.
